On New Amsterdam Season 2 Episode 3, “Replacement,” a common procedure is poisoning patients causing what seems to be life-threatening complications.
Dr. Sharpe wants to go on TV to address the issue but Max is against this idea in case journalists are hard on Helen and it threatens her career. That’s probably because he’s struggling to run a hospital while secretly grieving Georgia in a rather unhealthy way.
He also has other battles to fight with the board.
