When does The Good Place return for a new season?
All good things must come to an end, even The Good Place. But, before that happens the beloved comedy about a group of losers trying to figure out what it takes to earn a spot in The Good Place and asking questions about what it means to be a good person will return for its fourth and final season on September 26th at 9/8c on NBC.
Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, Jason, Micheal, and Janet will all be back and they have a lot to do before the show’s swan song.
The Good Place Season 3 ended with the gang just about to start their experiment to rescue all humanity from an afterlife in The Bad Place (easy peasy right?) when The Bad Place crew gives them one final twist by choosing Chidi’s ex as one of the test subjects.
This new complication forces Chidi to wipe his memories, including that he and Eleanor are in love, to avoid tainting the results of the experiment and dooming everyone on earth.
Chidi’s sacrifice might have saved the experiment but it left the team down a member and Eleanor without the love of her life and moral compass.
Viewers can find out how the soul squad and Eleanor will cope with the loss of Chidi as part of their group when The Good Place begins its final act this fall.
