The Bachelorette Recap: Let’s Talk About Sex (Season 15 Episode 10)
On The Bachelorette Season 15 Episode 10, Hannah heads to Greece in time for the Fantasy Suite dates, and she gains clarity regarding her relationship with Luke P.
First it’s “Jed-Gate,” and now fans’ heads are swirling over the revelation that Peter Weber also dumped his girlfriend to chase fame (and Hannah’s heart) on The Bachelorette. A definite pattern is emerging when it comes to The Bachelorette: the show breaks up more relationships than it forges.
We may have to give Peter the benefit of the doubt since we’re only hearing his ex’s side of the story. With Jed, there were red flags being thrown everywhere, and his former gf has the texts to support her story. But things still aren’t looking good for Peter who has painted himself as a heartbroken guy just hoping to find love again.
All of this off-screen drama continues to play out as Hannah’s search for love comes careening to a disastrous end. It’s time for Fantasy Suites, and Hannah and her final four head to Greece to get … it … on.
Hannah B.’s first date is with Peter who kind of came from behind to take the Bachelorette by surprise. Clearly, he’s handsome, he has a good job, his family is tight, his younger brother has hottie potential, and he practices safe sex (in his car anyway).
The two take a romantic boat ride (can we just once not reenact Titanic when setting foot on a boat?) during which Peter declares his love. The two can’t keep their hands off of each other which is why it’s not surprising to learn that the mystery suitor Hannah B. bangs in a windmill is none other than Peter.

Hannah’s sexual encounter was like a game of clue. Was it Jed in the windmill, or Tyler in the lighthouse (okay, that one is just me and crossed wires). We don’t know for certain that’s what goes down until later because Fantasy Suites don’t automatically mean doing the horizontal dance with no pants.
Peter: We came together, like, so much last night. Just bonded. Just such a great feeling.
Tyler C. expects there to be “fireworks” in the Fantasy Suite between himself and Hannah, especially after a very steamy couples massage. Truthfully, if someone interrupted my massage, I’d be annoyed. There’s plenty of time for smooching, but magic fingers are fleeting.
But Tyler is in for a surprise because Hannah thinks they need time to explore their relationship on a more emotional level without the cameras around. Tyler’s disappointment is palpable, but he bounces back pretty quickly. Does Hannah pass on sex with Tyler because of her night with Peter?

Given how brutal viewers can be when a woman actually explores sexual relationships on the show, it’s hard to think Hannah didn’t consider sex with two different men over the course of a day (give or take) might not come across well. I say if Bachelor Nation can’t handle it, why have multiple Fantasy Suite dates?
Hannah’s decision may be entirely legit, but it’s hard to see where her connection to Tyler C. is any greater or less than any of the other men because they all claim to be in love with her. It feels as if Tyler’s been the most honest and open of the remaining men (even if Peter and Jed weren’t shady).
The two spend a night on the yacht, and it appears Hannah gets what she needs from Tyler because she’s feeling him even more. He respects her boundaries, and– take note guys — that is a very sexy quality.

Date three is with Jed, and the two spend the day with a Greek family really getting a taste for the culture. Jed isn’t happy that Hannah hasn’t cut Luke loose, and he tells her so. How can someone as amazing as Hannah be blind to Luke’s evil ways?

Hannah explains she’s just had an inexplicable connection with Luke since day one. She knows Luke is here for her and only her. She’s not 100 percent sold on Luke, but she’s invested enough to want to see it through. She’s seen sides of him the other men haven’t.
Jed’s concerns aren’t really addressed, so the conversation continues during the evening portion of their date. Jed calls Hannah out for saying she’s falling in love with him while keeping around someone who has been so toxic throughout this whole process.
Whether or not Jed is a douche (he is), this is a valid point. Why can’t Hannah let go of things that aren’t good for her in her life? This could be construed as Jed deciding what’s good for Hannah instead of respecting and trusting her enough to get there on her own. But we’ve all seen how manipulative Luke can be, we’ve seen him backpedal, and we’ve seen him lie.
Hannah’s been asking for honesty and transparency, and she gets it. This is where her youth and immaturity begin to work against her because she gets frustrated and starts to cry and whine about being sick of having to defend her feelings for Luke.
It’s fair for Hannah to want to deal with Luke on her own terms, but it’s unrealistic for her to expect Jed to not feel a certain way about the other men or her interactions with them.
Jed worries this will all ruin what they have. This is what happens when you subtract all the contrived interactions, exciting dates, and world travel. Reality isn’t nearly as pretty as this dating show makes it out to be. Viewers know that, and if they wanted to watch actual normal humans dating, it would be reflected more in ABC’s casting choices.
Hannah and Jed get over this bump because Jed backs off, and Hannah does appreciate his honesty and believes his concerns come from a place of love. This would be so much easier to swallow if we didn’t know what a hypocrite this guy is.
They spend the night together, and I’m guessing there’s no sex because they aren’t also in a windmill.
The last date is the big one, and I don’t just mean his size. It’s Luke P.’s turn, and all of Bachelor Nation knows how this is going to turn out because ABC has been promoting it like crazy. But before Hannah sends Luke P. packing, they spend a romantic day in Santorini.
Luke remains delusionally confident. He knows he’s the one, and he knows Hannah knows he’s the one. Hannah feels Luke is at his best when he’s with her. Best behavior, maybe.
She’s never experienced a connection like the one she has with Luke P., and he’s the best kisser of the bunch.
But after a very romantic day, it all goes sideways real quick before Hannah can even whip out the infamous Fantasy Suite card. Luke makes it clear if Hannah sleeps or has slept with any of the other men, he’s gone. He claims his objections are strictly religious, but Hannah believes it has more to do with his pride.

Hannah doesn’t take the ultimatum well. She doesn’t feel Luke has the right to question or judge her at this point. Luke is free to express his thoughts on premarital sex, and Hannah doesn’t have to like it, but this is kind of the last straw.
It’s hard not to hear a little bit of Jed coming out of Hannah as she points out how she’s overlooked Luke’s flaws time and again. So they’re just a couple of sinners trying to determine who is more likely to burn in eternal hell fire.
Luke, realizing he really effed up, attempts to do his standard backpedaling. IF she’s had sex with any or all of the men, he’s willing to work through it, implying she’s made a mistake she has to atone for. This doesn’t make Hannah’s heart go pitter patter.
Hannah realizes all hope is lost when it comes to Luke who has broken her heart again and again. After an entire season of Luke, it’s almost worth it to see Hannah tell him off. How quickly love fades.
Hannah makes it clear they’re done, but Luke stalls, unwilling to get in the car. This is when Hannah reveals she had sex with Peter … twice. She doesn’t mention Jed as well, so either they didn’t, or she’s keeping it to herself.
Luke asks if he can pray for her before he goes, and Hannah refuses his request. As he disappears into the night, Hannah flips him off.
Luke will be back because this dude can’t take “go to hell” for an answer but fans everywhere can rest assured this guy won’t worm his way back into Alabama Hannah’s heart. Just so you know, you can have sex, and Jesus will still love you.
