Preview — The Resident Season 2 Episode 23: Unbefriended
The doctors at Chastain Memorial conclude their sophomore season with two loved ones’ lives on the line. The Resident Season 2 Episode 23, “Unbefriended” is about Nic’s fight to save Jessie’s life.
She seems to get as far as to convince their father Kyle to actually come through for them for once and donate a kidney to his daughter. Beyond that, it’s difficult to guess Jessie’s fate right now. From the way Mina is holding Nic back in the promo, all we can guess is something goes wrong for someone in the O.R at one point.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bell is trying to keep Chastain itself alive and considers selling it to a conglomerate. Thankfully, Kitt is around to help him make an educated decision.
Along with keeping Nic sane during Jessie’s surgery, Mina must try to keep Shira the shady anesthesiologist out of Micah’s surgery. Hopefully, Devon stays far away from Shira as he tries to fight for a patient doctors suspect is uninsured. He hasn’t had much luck with ladies this season and pursuing her won’t end well.
There are a couple of beloved characters fighting for their lives. So hold on tight; Jessie and Micah might not work at Chastain but we love them just the same, so the end is going to be rough.

Episode description: In an effort to save Chastain, Bell considers selling the hospital to a conglomerate, but Kit tries to make him see that the negatives will outweigh the positives. With Conrad’s help, Nic tracks down Kyle (guest star Corbin Bernsen) and pleads for him to reconsider donating a kidney to Jessie. Meanwhile, Mina voices her concern to Austin when Shira is assigned to Micah’s surgery and Devon fights for the care of a patient whom the doctors suspect is uninsured in the all-new “The Unbefriended” season finale episode.

Well, drove myself half nuts trying to find some clue into who flatlined. I think I figured it out. In the scene before Nic goes out, the camera spends a moment looking at her father and then here sister, I noticed that only the sister’s room had red colored plug sockets on the left side of the wall behind the bed. The father had none. When one crashes and they roll the cart into the room, you see a nurse standing next to the bed. For just a couple of seconds you get a quick glimpse at the red sockets on the wall under the monitor to the right. So, it appears it is Nic’s sister who crashed. BUT I also think Conrad will give it one more try and save her. I HOPE!
