Preview — The Flash Season 5 Episode 21: The Girl with the Red Lightning
Team Flash gears up for the final fight against Cicada on The Flash Season 5 Episode 21, “The Girl with the Red Lightning,” as the season’s Big Bad threatens to wipe out all meta-humans in Central City.
The Cicada plotline has waffled from good to bad and everything in between this season, as Orlin Dwyer and his niece Grace have attempted to make punish metahumans for perceived slights against their family/humanity in general. And now, it seems as though Grace may have a way to take them all out for good.
Interestingly enough, none of the episode’s promotional materials seem to directly address its title. Theoretically, “The Girl with the Red Lightning” has to refer to Nora, as that’s the color her lightning changed to while she was using the Negative Speed Force.
But the brief Nora dabbles with her dark side plot was wrapped up fairly neatly last week, so it’s not clear at all what it could refer to. Maybe her use of the Negative Speed Force has some unforeseen consequences?
