Preview — New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 22: Luna
Max’s daughter is coming on New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 22, “Luna.” Based on the title, we’re guessing she’s named after Max’s deceased sister, Luna. We’re hoping her mom doesn’t join her aunt in death — but things aren’t looking good for Georgia.
Max puts it very bluntly in the promo video below: “I have to choose between my wife or my baby.”
This isn’t typical, optimistic Max talking. This is the Max who is drained from fighting cancer.
But we have hope for him. Luckily, Season 1 Episode 21 ends with ER doctor Lauren Bloom in his doorway. She’s going to have to put off retiring or extended leave or whatever she was planning to ask for.
There is also the fact that Max’s philosophy has rubbed off on Helen. She gives no second thought to leaving New Amsterdam to go help Max, even though she’s acting medical director.
New York traffic is going to put up a fight, so we’re not saying we know who will be alive at the end of the season. But Max has rubbed off on us, too. We’re crossing our fingers for the whole Goodwin family.
Meanwhile, it looks like Evie makes it to Sunday dinner with Floyd, but we’re wondering how long that lasts. With Max in danger, the whole team is going to mobilize, right?
Perhaps being in the middle of an emergency will remind Dr. Bloom that New Amsterdam is where she belongs.
Ella the barista is also back, and we’re hoping she and Dr. Kapoor’s friendship makes a full recovery.
