Shadowhunters Review: Aku Cinta Kamu (Season 3 Episode 19)
Izzy, Simon, and Luke work together to forge a new sword to defeat Jonathan, Jace goes undercover to try to get Clary back but fails, and Jonathan kidnaps the Seelie Queen. Meanwhile, Magnus takes a stroll down memory lane as the pain from the breakup gets the best of him on Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 19 “Aku Cinta Kamu.”
Things are looking gloomy in Magnus’ life right now as he deals with the loss of Alec and having to adjust to life without him when he’d finally allowed himself to fall in love again, even thinking about the possibility to raise a family together. It’s going to take time to get over, but with his powers back I hope that it’s easier for him.
Asmodeus wanted Alec to dump Magnus so he could swoop in and be the hero of the day to restore Magnus’ powers, which we all knew was going to happen. But, I didn’t expect Asmodeus to be the one to stop Magnus from erasing Alec from his life completely.

EMERAUDE TOUBIA, ALBERTO ROSENDE
Asmodeus has proven himself to be a horrible parent, and downright evil in general, but it’s a touching moment, him stopping Magnus in the midst of making a terrible decision. Magnus not being able to handle the thought of Alec without being near him is proof enough that this is the most viable relationship that Magnus has ever had, and erasing those memories would only be something he regretted in the future.
The catch is, now that Asmodeus is back, returning Magnus’ powers and trying to become closer to Magnus, he has the upper hand. Magnus is in the palm of his hands now because he thinks that Asmodeus truly wants to help him out, but I’m not sure that’s the case.
Asmodeus is the prince of hell, which means that he’ll always have some master plan up his sleeve. Magnus’ best bet is to get away from Asmodeus as fast as possible, but I don’t see it happening with the state that he’s in.

Now that Jordan is no longer with the praetor lupus he doesn’t have the type of protection he’s used to, aka stealing the last vial of serum from the institute is not a wise decision he should’ve made. Once Izzy realizes that the vial is gone after they save Clary with the newly forged weapon, it’s going to be a manhunt to figure out who took it.
I don’t think that Maia will willingly help Jordan if she figures out that he stole it because she’s good enough friends with them that I don’t think she’d want the extra drama. But, Jordan knows that Maia dreams about being human again and going back to all the times she’s missed so I wonder if he’d be dumb enough to trick her into consuming it.
Izzy is finally seeing Simon in a different light, a light where she’s finally opening up to how fabulous Simon is as a person, and not just a downworlder or vampire. He has done many heroic things since meeting Izzy and becoming the man he is now, but that has nothing to do with his powers and everything to do with the man that Simon is in general.

ALBERTO ROSENDE, EMERAUDE TOUBIA
It’s a tad bit upsetting that Izzy and Simon could potentially end up together right at the end of the series, as well as Magnus and Alec ending their storyline together with no hope of reconciliation because there won’t be another chance. I don’t want to believe that we’ll see the two of them apart at the end of the series, but I also am ready for whatever to be thrown our way.
Now that Izzy has figured out the way and succeeded in making a new weapon with holy fire it’s time for Jonathan to get his reign over Clary over with because her being evil is a pain in the butt, and getting really old fast.

KATHERINE MCNAMARA, DOMINIC SHERWOOD, LUKE BAINES
I think there could be a potential plot twist coming with Clary and Jonathan. Before Clary was fully enveloped by the mark that she shares with Jonathan, she was feeling guilty about treating him the way they were and was contemplating to herself about his true intentions.
I think that when the rune is disconnected between them, there’s going to be part of Clary that still wants to keep Jonathan safe, to try and save him because she genuinely doesn’t believe he’s downright evil.
