Preview — New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 17: Sanctuary
The storm rages on and the lights are still out on New Amsterdam Season 1 Episode 17, “Sanctuary.”
Max can’t just make the best out of this bad situation if it means one person will die, so he’ll probably wage war against mother nature himself to restore power — no matter what Helen says.
Speaking of Dr. Sharpe, she and Dr. Goodwin need to have a difficult conversation about lingering feelings and possible tension of the sexual variety. But if you’ve watched any other TV drama at all, you know chances are fans will have more questions than answers about that at the end of the episode.
One answer we’ll hopefully have is whether Hugh will live or die. Dr. Reynolds has a personal connection with him now, so he’s not going to give up easily.
All storms pass. But some leave more damage in their wake than others, and this one is far from over.

Episode description: As the doctors continue to weather the storm without power, Max relies on an unlikely source to get the lights back on. Meanwhile, Reynolds must get creative as he continues to work to save Hugh with very few resources.
