On this day, twenty years ago, John Crichton was piloting a test flight of his module, when a radiation wave hit and he got shot through a wormhole. So began, the innovative sci-fi series, Farscape.
Following an astronaut who gets lost in space, Farscape was a show about a stranger in a strange land. It gave the audience a relatable character, interesting aliens, and complicated plots that were light-years ahead of what was on television at the time. 
In a 2014 Syfy Wire article, Trent Moore says, ” It never did huge numbers, and it never garnered the critical acclaim of fellow space opera Battlestar Galactica — but history needs to hold a space for John Crichton and his motley crew of alien outlaws.”
It might have debuted twenty years ago, but Farscape has maintained a loyal and devoted following over the years, and many are still trying to get the series revived even now.
