Amy Acker Heading to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as Derek’s Fourth Sister

Grey's Anatomy, News

While Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 has been called “the season of love,” it’s also been focusing a good deal on family.

Coming soon, we’ll finally get a chance to meet Derek’s fourth sister, Kathleen. We’ve met his other sisters over the years, with Caterina Scorsone’s Amelia obviously being the most prominent, but we’ve only ever heard Kathleen mentioned.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Acker has been cast in this significant role.

Acker will appear as Derek and Amelia’s sister, Kathleen, in a previously announced and much-anticipated Amelia-centric episode.

There’s no date for that yet, and for now, this is the only episode Acker is set to appear on.

We don’t know much about Kathleen’s character or how her arrival will affect Amelia, but we do know that, like the other sisters, she’s a doctor. Kathleen is a psychiatrist.
