Vanderpump Rules Recap: Girls’ Night In (Season 7 Episode 7)
On Vanderpump Rules Season 7 Episode 7, “Girls’ Night In,” Katie organizes an event to fill the void left by James’ See You Next Tuesday. Stassi enjoys a triumph in her professional life.
Kick the tires and light the fires because Stassi Schroeder officially has her own holiday. This will come as no surprise to Stassi social media stalkers everywhere or fans of her podcast.
Outfit Of The Day is Stassi’s brainchild, and she’s parlayed it into an actual recognized national holiday, National OOTD Day (#iwantmyownholiday #whydidntithinkofthis?).
The message reflects the new and slightly improved Ms. Schroeder — it boils down to self-expression and boosting self-esteem. The big day is June 30, so for those of you who missed the 2018 debut on your calendar, you’ll have another chance this summer.

Stassi throws a party to celebrate her achievement because that’s what every cast member is doing this season — celebrating themselves.
When we last saw Stassi, she was having a tandem meltdown with her mother, but Stassi’s putting mama drama on the back burner for the time being.
Parties always provide a backdrop for drama, and this one is no different. But the two people involved are those you’d least expect — Brittany and Lisa Vanderpump. Things haven’t been copacetic between these two since the SUR staff meeting when Brittany accused Lisa of valuing the bottom line over the feelings of her employees.
Things went from bad to worse when Jax intervened on his fiancé’s behalf. Now, Brittany just wants everyone to get along, and for Lisa not to be mad at her. Lisa isn’t so quick to forgive and forget, and Brittany continues to be on edge because nobody believes in her and Jax’s new and improved relationship.
On “Girls’ Night In,” several of the inmates get a shot at running the asylum. Billie Lee throws a brunch at SUR to promote both the LGBTQ community and herself which feels like preaching to the choir in West Hollywood. The turnout is good, but two faces Billie isn’t happy to see are Kristen’s and Katie’s.
The basis of the bad blood between Billie and the double K’s is that Billie is friends with James while Kristen and Katie are hell-bent on destroying him.

The threesome have an awkward confrontation (instigated by Billie). Billie believes these girls are the troublemakers, and Katie and Kristen vehemently disagree.
The confrontation does nothing to derail Katie and Kristen’s plans to continue to blow up James’ life. Next on their agenda is to undo the blink-or-you’ll-miss-it truce Lala and James strike over coffee on Vanderpump Rules Season 7 Episode 6.
Lala felt forgiving James is something her recently deceased dad would want her to do. Lala does a 180-degree turn once Katie and Kristen get their claws into her. The message is clear: you’re either with us or against us. Hey, p###y is totally in the house.
Next up, demolish James’ signature See You Next Tuesday and rebuild it in their image. Stassi, Lala, Katie, Kristen, Brittany, Schaena, and Ariana organize Girls’ Night In. The theme is basically, “Come to see girls in skimpy lingerie, stay for the overpriced drinks and glitter bar.” The main draw to the event is Lala’s boobs on the flyer.

All the ladies feel super empowered, with one exception — Billie Lee. It seems Billie is left out of the entire planning process and throws a Twitter fit or a “twit” (this is my brainchild, please pass it on #twit). Billie doesn’t come right out and accuse Katie of being transphobic, but she sure likes the posts of a ton of people who do.
Billie goes on the defensive because she’s felt excluded most of her life because of being transgender. What Billie doesn’t understand is the other women don’t really like her because Billie can be a huge b##ch.
The event is a huge success despite Billie’s attempts to call out Katie for being a bigot. Katie confronts Billie, explaining that Billie’s invitation was a given since she works at SUR. Katie didn’t recruit Billie to help because it was all very last-minute (and Katie really doesn’t like Billie).
Billie accuses Katie of exercising or abusing or suffering from “cis privilege.”
For those not in the know — including myself prior to some quick research — cisgender means identifying with the gender you were born into — the opposite of transgender. So, cis privilege means you don’t have to grapple with all of the issues a transgender person does.

Lala is incensed on Katies behalf but admits, “I don’t exactly know what it (cis privilege) means, but if it came out of Billie’s mouth, I know it’s f***ed up.”
Lisa attempts to squash the beef, assuring Billie that the SUR girls have never demonstrated transphobic behavior. But Billie comes in hot, and she makes it clear that if Katie can play the fat card, she’s going to play the trans card.
Expect all this drama to go next level real quick.
