Vanderpump Rules Recap: A Housewarming Divided (Season 7 Episode 8)
On Vanderpump Rules Season 7 Episode 8, “A Housewarming Divided,” Lala and Billie clash at Scheana’s housewarming party. Jax and Tom Sandoval celebrate their birthdays.
The great SUR grown-up experiment continues. Scheana has ventured out of West Hollywood and settles in a new apartment in Marina Del Ray. According to everyone else, this is a completely geographically undesirable location for a young thirtysomething (the equivalent of Manhattan dwellers taking digs at the bridge and tunnel crowd).
Scheana loves her new big girl apartment (complete with stuffed animals, and furniture bought and organized by her mommy). Scheana’s really in a good mood as she casually lets it slip to anyone who will listen that she and Adam finally slept together.
Despite this mind-blowing sexual encounter, Scheana insists she’s going to remain singlefor the foreseeable future.
James may be persona non grata everywhere in West Hollywood, but he’s welcome in Marina Del Ray. This doesn’t thrill Jax who is forced to put up with James because they’re both friends with Sandoval. But Jax doesn’t even pretend to have anything but disdain for the “white Kanye.”
The party sets the scene for a major fight between Lala and Billie. Lala has no time or interest in Billie’s hurt feelings over Girls’ Night In. Lala accuses Billie of fueling the idea that she, Katie, and the other girls involved in the planning are transphobic.
Billie claims to not be responsible for what other people post on social media or think, but we all know, if ya hit the “like” button, you’re showing solidarity.
As is always the case when Lala gets into a disagreement, the other person brings up her man. Boy, the mere mention of Lala’s boyfriend is a huge trigger. Lala storms out, leaving things with Billie unresolved.
But life goes on, and the Billie drama takes a backseat to the big TomTom reveal. Lisa finally allows the bar’s namesakes and “investors” get a look at the place. It’s chic, it’s sexy, and it’s what you’d expect from Lisa Vanderpump.
The future looks pretty bright for Tom Sandoval as he hangs with his boys to celebrate he and Jax’s birthday. The cast members of Vanderpump Rules are getting up there: Sandoval is now 36, and Jax is 39. The way this show is going, we could follow this crowd all the way to assisted living.
While downing blow job shots, Jax discusses his biological need to impregnate Brittany as soon as they get married. As it is, he’ll be almost 60 when his kid is in high school.
Sandoval’s biological clock is also ticking, but, sadly, Ariana’s is on permanent snooze. This is a woman who is literally disgusted by the idea of pregnancy.
Jax urges Sandoval to have “the talk” with his girl before they get in any deeper. Sandoval isn’t eager to have this heart to heart since the whole baby thing is a deal breaker for him.
The chatter turns to sex (as it so often does), and Sandoval decides to reveal that Ariana and Lala engaged in some girl-on-girl action while he … watched (it’s not entirely clear what his role was other than he wasn’t invited to tag in)? Yes, Tom outs his girlfriend as bisexual on national TV.
James decides to chime in about what a freak Lala is in the bedroom, effectively destroying what little shot he had at rekindling their friendship.
Word spreads, and like most — if not all — of the SUR gossip, it’s true. Neither Ariana nor Lala have any regrets about their encounter.
Ariana is not a happy camper that her boyfriend put her sexual fluidity out there without her permission. Meanwhile, Sandoval is pretty passive-aggressive about the whole thing. His overall attitude is sorry but not sorry.
The two kiss and make up in time for Tom and Jax’s ’70s themed roller skating party. Everybody is on their best behavior. Even Billie is contrite about her bad behavior. She apologizes to Katie, who doesn’t exactly forgive, telling Billie “You did me really f***ing dirty.”
They agree to move on, but Billie and Katie won’t be scheduling sleepovers anytime soon.
