Preview — ‘The Christmas Contract’: Lifetime’s ‘One Tree Hill’ Reunion Movie
It’s here, everybody — the One Tree Hill reunion movie of our dreams! Except, well, it’s not in Tree Hill at all. It’s actually mostly set in Louisiana, and it’s a Lifetime Christmas movie. If we can’t have Naley and Nanny Carrie drama, give us a Christmas movie!
The Christmas Contract stars Hilarie Burton as Jolie, a web designer facing her first Christmas after a breakup with her hometown boyfriend. She’s dreading Christmas at home this year, as she knows she’ll see him and his new girlfriend when their dads are honored for running the town’s Christmas market.
Much like her former One Tree Hill character Rachel, Danneel Ackles’ Naomi does what any best friend would do in that situation… she stirs up trouble. She volunteers her brother Jack to take the trip home with Jolie.

But the two aren’t so fond of each other. So, Naomi draws up a contract to ensure that everyone gets what they want out of the deal. In return for being her buffer, Jolie will design a website for budding novelist Jack.
It seems simple, right? Wrong. Let’s just say neither Jack nor Jolie actually knew what they were signing up for when they signed The Christmas Contract.
They couldn’t call it a reunion without a few more One Tree Hill favorites. Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton also get in on the fun!
Don’t fall into a food coma after dinner this year. The Christmas Contract airs on Thanksgiving night, November 22nd, at 8/7c on Lifetime.
Synopsis: It’s Jolie’s (Hilarie Burton) first time going back home to Louisiana since her devastating break up with Foster (Hunter Burke). Seeing him is inevitable as their parents run the town’s annual Christmas Market together, but when she discovers Foster is bringing home a new girlfriend, Jolie cannot bear the thought of going home alone and seeing them together.
Her best friend Naomi (Danneel Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring her flaky brother, Jack (Robert Buckley), home for Christmas as he has no plans this year. Jolie, a professional web designer, is hesitant; so, Naomi, a lawyer, creates a Christmas contract to give them both something they want—a buffer for those awkward moments around Jolie’s ex and a website to help sell Jack’s upcoming novel. Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract proves to be so much more than what they signed up for.
The Christmas Contract is produced by Active Entertainment. Ken Badish and Daniel Lewis serve as executive producers. Monika Mitchell serves as director with a script by Cassie Doyle.
