On Riverdale Season 3 Episode 5, “Chapter-Forty: The Great Escape,” Veronica devises a plan to get Archie out of juvenile detention. Betty tries to save Jughead from becoming a casualty of G&G.

It’s safe to say Jughead is full-on obsessed with Gryphons and Gargoyles, and it’s going to be up to Betty to rescue her boyfriend from himself. After Betty’s heart-to-heart with Alice on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 4, “The Midnight Club,” she knows the only way to win this insidious role-playing game is to embrace death.

Between Hiram and the warden, both of whom are making Archie’s life at Leopold and Loeb particularly unpleasant, Riverdale’s resident hunk is ready to break out. Archie is ready to mobilize the other inmates – and his girlfriend — to escape the warden’s iron grip.

Riverdale is about to turn the tables when it comes to traditional gender roles. Forget damsels in distress, the ladies are going to ride in on white horses and save their guys.

Episode description: After weeks go by with no contact from Archie, Veronica devises a dangerous plan to break him out of juvie. Meanwhile, when Betty learns that Jughead has taken their investigation into Gryphons and Gargoyles a step too far, she finds herself in a race against the clock to save him.
