Preview — Riverdale Season 3 Episode 4: Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Midnight Club

On Riverdale Season 3 Episode 4, “Chapter ThIrty-Nine: The Midnight Club,” Alice recalls how she, Fred, Tom, Hermione, Hiram, Sierra, and Penelope became involved with Gryphons and Gargoyles.

Riverdale pays homage to 80’s classic The Breakfast Club (including an appearance from Anthony Michael Hall) when its flashback episode revisits Riverdale in 1992. Fans know the parents of Riverdale have lots of secrets, and at least one will be solved — their history with the Gargoyle King.

Thankfully, this means Archie’s great escape from the Leopold and Loeb Juvenile Detention Center will be put on hold. Fans are also not likely to meet the mysterious Edgar Evernever, the elusive leader of the Farm (or will they?).

As is always the case with Riverdale, whatever answers Betty gets are sure to lead to more questions. One thing is certain: how excited viewers are to see the younger incarnations of the gang’s parents.

Episode description: When Betty confronts Alice about Gryphons and Gargoyles, Alice has no choice but to come clean about how she, along with a young Fred, FP, Hermione, Hiram, Sierra, Penelope, and Tom, played the game in the early ’90s — and how a shocking mystery has been plaguing them ever since.
