Timeless Series Finale Movie Date Set at NBC

Christmas will come early for Timeless fans as NBC announced on Friday that the previously announced two-hour Timeless series finale wrap-up movie will air on Thursday, December 20th at 8/7c.

Executive producers Eric Kripke, Shawn Ryan, and Arika Lisanne Mittman promised fans “an epic, unforgettable thrill ride, with a healthy dose of Christmas spirit” in the press release.

They noted that the finale was “spread across three centuries and two continents, the finale will test Lucy, Wyatt and the entire Time Team like never before as they try to #SaveRufus, preserve history, and put a stop to Rittenhouse once and for all.”

The Timeless Season 2 finale ended with a major twist and cliffhanger when the surviving team members were stunned when future Lucy and Wyatt showed up in the present day bunker offering a plan to get Rufus back.

Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit are all reprising their roles for the series finale.

John Showalter will direct both parts of the finale, while the first hour was written by Lauren Greer and showrunner Arika Lisanne Mittman has penned the second hour.
