Arrow Season 6: Top 15 Olicity Moments

Arrow, Lists

Just a few more hours until Arrow Season 7 brings our favorite superhero power couple back and put them through more trials and tribulations (don’t believe me? Check out the sizzle reel!).

So, before we head into what will probably be a harrowing but compelling start to the season, I thought I’d look back on some of my favorite Olicity moments during Arrow Season 6.

In the span of 23 episodes, we got to see Oliver and Felicity not only find their way back to each other but also learn how to balance their family life, their jobs, and their vigilante lives together. I’ve already talked about how the Queen-Smoak family was a highlight last season, and seeing these two work through it all was a part of that highlight.

So, here it goes. Here are my top 15 Olicity moments (in no particular order) from Arrow Season 6!

1. “His life would be better with you in it. Just like mine.”

Oliver spends part of Arrow Season 6 Episode 3, “Next of Kin,” working through how to best help William with school stuff. His solution? Going to Felicity for advice and help.

That bit of help (and the absolutely adorable scene with the Monte Cristos), quickly leads Oliver to this realization and officially marks Olicity’s reunion.

2. Olicity’s (Last) First Date

Olicity – Reversal – Last First Date – Arrow

Even though it’s interrupted due to team business, Oliver and Felicity’s (last) first date post-reunion during Arrow Season 6 Episode 4, “Reversal,” is cute and shows how much more comfortable they are with each other compared to their first-first date back in Season 3.

There’s also the fact that they aren’t blown up. Not to mention, that little moment with a random Star City resident asking about their relationship status.

3. Oliver’s Pep Talk

What I love about this specific, sweet and heartwarming moment is that Oliver’s been there before and he wants to help her see that she doesn’t have to carry the guilt alone and that he can reach out to people around her (we’re going to ignore his final decision on the Arrow Season 6 finale).

4. The Role’s Reversed

Arrow Season 6 Episode 4, “Reversal,” has another moment that lands on the list and highlights how solid their partnership is compared to where they were before. Oliver takes on the Overwatch role as the team’s eyes and ears and the moment he tells her “it’s a good thing you’re not alone.”

It’s a beautiful and significant moment for the pair as it shows Oliver’s support of her choice to go out there.

5. “I will always, always, always love you.”

Just look at this scene. It’s two minutes of open and honest communication between Oliver and Felicity, even in the face of rejection and an invasion of the most unwelcoming kind during Arrow Season 6 Episode 8, “Crisis on Earth-X.” There are hurt feelings and everything, but they still sit and talk it out. It’s bittersweet, and I’m a fan.

6. “Nothing matters except that I love you.”

In the midst of an uncomfortable set of villains that the Arrowverse heroes face off against, Oliver comes to the realization that life is short and that it doesn’t matter if he’s married to Felicity and the pair goes and gives us a quiet and lovely moment that just tugs at the heartstrings.

7. “I’m a better human being just because I’ve loved you.”

“Crisis on Earth-X” concludes with a moment two fandoms have been waiting for: a wedding! Felicity is asking Oliver to marry her after everything they saw and dealt with, on top of their history together, is honestly so wonderful and squeal-inducing. Though we’ve heard their vows before, these new vows are perfect for the pair.

8. The Olicity Reception

Granted, Arrow Season 6 Episode 9, “Irreconcilable Differences,” signified the start of one of the most frustrating arcs the show has had, but the episode gives us a beautiful reprieve in the form of Oliver and Felicity’s reception.

It’s short but long enough to give us shots like Oliver looking at Felicity as if he’s looking at her for the first time and of course, the first dance.
