American Housewife Review: Here We Go Again (Season 3 Episode 2)
Katie must get her family on the right track before she officially accepts a permanent full-time job on American Housewife Season 3 Episode 2, “Here We Go Again.”
With Whitney urging Katie to go to New York to kiss the ring, as all new hires do, Katie has to be comfortable enough to leave her family to themselves. Let’s face it, Katie’s family is always going to need her, but they’re old enough not to need her all the time.
Oliver continues to lie to people at school about his financial stability, Taylor is still acting like an airhead who can’t make decisions for herself, and Anna-Kat’s OCD is through the roof.

I find Anna-Kat’s character way more amusing and exciting than Oliver and Taylor because there’s always something new and weird when it comes to her actions and storylines. She knows how to steal the spotlight when she’s on screen.
It’s sad, but I think the character I relate to the most is Anna-Kat because I used to do the same things when I was younger. Being a germaphobe doesn’t happen overnight, just like getting rid of it doesn’t happen overnight.
I find it hilarious that Luther, the dog, starts using the bathroom outside right after Anna-Kat starts using the backyard. Her problem of not using the bathroom inside fixed Luther’s problem of only using the bathroom inside.

I love that Cooper is back and is still the same wealth-obsessed kid who likes to drive Katie nuts. Everything that comes out of his mouth is insane and continues to drive Katie up the wall, especially since Oliver tries to mimic Cooper’s actions.
I love Greg’s way of trying to get Oliver to be more humble because it’s what I would do as well. Humiliating Oliver in front of Cooper doesn’t get the exact reaction that Greg is looking for, but in the end, Cooper agreed to try and act like a normal boy. So, I’d say Greg did pretty well.
For a moment I thought Whitney would show her face for real, but I’m glad that she didn’t. I think it’s hilarious that everyone, including Katie, gets so excited to talk to Whitney and it’s never her.

Whitney’s relationship with Kevin has to be more than just employee-employer. I feel like in the end there’s going to be some big reveal where he’s related to her, and that’s why she continues to be rude to him. Either way, I love how Kevin does whatever she wants and whenever she wants it.
Words cannot begin to explain how much I love when Katie roasts Doris to her kids as Doris is sitting right there. Doris’ facial expressions and sudden realization that everything Katie’s saying is true are beyond hysterical. I love Doris’ character in general, any moment we get of Doris on screen is a blessing.
Other Thoughts:
- Greg trying to potty-train the dog is the cutest thing ever.
- Taylor and Trip are made for each other because neither of them has any sense and tend not to use their head.
Favorite Quotes:
- “Kevin, I want you to leave the room while I give Katie the address because you will never be invited.” – Whitney
- “Are they, Greg? Apparently, you didn’t know that hand dryers just blow particles of poop back into your face.” – Anna-Kat
- “Hey Mrs. O, next time could you give me more of a heads up when I have to go? I almost didn’t make it.” – Cooper
- “Just hire nannies to take over for you. Sure the kids will hate you for it, but on the flip side when they go to therapy in a few years, they’ll complain about how the nanny messed them up.” – Doris
- “I’m going to try to be a regular human boy. No chauffeurs driving me and Oliver around, no more caviar facials, and no more rap battles with Lin-Manuel Miranda.” – Cooper
