Fans have been asking this question for a while. When will The Last Ship Season 5 premiere?

That news was finally announced today. The fifth and final season of The Last Ship will premiere on Sunday, September 9th.

The final season of the TNT series will focus on the global political unrest that remains as the world recovers from the deadly virus that devastated the population.

Season 5 promises to be action-packed and exciting while underscoring the costs of prolonged war and the toll it takes on the heroes who fight it.

The Last Ship Season 4 ranked as one of the summer’s top five cable dramas among total viewers, reaching a total of 24 million viewers on TNT’s linear, VOD and digital platforms.

The series stars Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin, Bridget Regan, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle, Marissa Neitling, Christina Elmore, Jocko Sims, Bren Foster, Kevin Michael Martin, Emerson Brooks, and Jodie Turner Smith.

The series is produced by Turner’s Studio T in association with Platinum Dunes, whose partners — blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form — serve as executive producers.

Co-creators Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane also serve as executive producers, along with director Paul Holahan. Kane served as showrunner for Seasons 4 and 5, having previously served alongside Steinberg for the first three seasons.
