Preview — The Bold Type Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2: Feminist Army / Rose Colored Glasses

Hold on to your designer bags, ladies! The Bold Type is coming back, and, from the looks of The Bold Type Season 2 Episode 1, “Feminist Army,” and The Bold Type Season 2 Episode 2, “Rose Colored Glasses,” they’re coming much harder than before.

Jane finally comes up against a challenge as a new Incite journalist that doesn’t seem like it will magically fix itself by the end of the episode.

We’ve all seen Jane take Scarlet by storm and bring innovative and hard-digging news to the women’s magazine, and now, she has her own platform to do just that and more.

Yet, will the transition be as easy as it initially seemed? Jane’s new boss doesn’t seem as welcoming and nurturing as Jacqueline always treated Jane before, so maybe we’ll see most of the friction on that front because I doubt our girl Jane has trouble coming up and executing great stories.

Also during The Bold Type Season 2, Sutton will also be tackling her new job as fashion assistant with a whole lot more vigor. Think of Sutton’s passion during The Bold Type Season 1 Episode 6‘s Free The Nipple and amp that up by 100.

It seems Sutton is making Scarlet’s photo ops just as bold as her bomb lipstick choices.

And last, but far from the least, Kat’s love life and career will be thriving, honey. Yes! If you read my reviews of The Bold Type Season 1, then you know just much I ship Kadena, the otp to end all other true pairings.

They are the pulling force that keeps me glued to my seats. Aisha Dee and Nikohl Boosheri’s chemistry is off the charts, and I can’t wait to see Adena and Kat’s relationship without all of the reservations and obstacles those two had to deal with last season.

Don’t get me wrong. Their love story was still amazing and the angst was palpable every time they’d look into each other’s eyes.

However, I’m literally buzzing with excitement thinking about how their relationship will grow during The Bold Type Season 2!  Kadena deserves to live their best lives with each other and to express themselves freely in their romantic and professional worlds.

The Bold Type has their fashion show of a season all lined up.

Prepare for bold struts across the office, love and passion sown into every scene, riveting concepts that push the envelope of feminism, and glass raining to the ground every time Kat, Sutton, and Jane decide to level up.

As Jane would headline this show, this is not your mother’s feminism.

Does everyone have their tequila shots, ready? Because telling by The Bold Type‘s trailer, we’re going to need them.

The Bold Type Season 2 Episode 1 description: Jane is excited to publish her first big piece for Incite, especially since she’s writing about a female CEO she admires, and she knows Jacqueline will be reading it. Sutton is thrown when a new corporate policy seems to give her and Richard the green light on their romance. And Adena grows frustrated when Kat seems too eager to flaunt their burgeoning relationship.

The Bold Type Season 2 Episode 2 description: Believing it shouldn’t matter, Kat bristles when Alex recommends she highlight that she is black in her company bio. However, while introducing her parents to Adena, Kat is forced to confront how her avoidance of labels has affected her life. Sutton is horrified when she discovers her fellow fashion assistants think she was asked to organize a photo shoot featuring “honorable men” for reasons other than her talent. And Jane tries to defend herself after the fallout from her Incite article, which doesn’t go as planned.
