The long-awaited Marvel series Cloak & Dagger is finally here!
The series follows two teenagers brought together from different backgrounds who figure out they have superpowers while also forming a romantic relationship as they bond.
Tandy Bowen, aka Dagger, (Olivia Holt) is a teenager who relies on herself to get by in life because of her mother’s alcoholism and neglect to provide substantial care. Her powers give her the ability to emit light daggers, which can also heal others.
Tyrone Johnson, aka Cloak, (Aubrey Joseph) is a teenager who works hard to do the right things, with the help of his parents down his throat at all times. He lives with the regret of his brother’s death being his fault, a prominent reason why his parents always push him to keep striving for the best.
The series was created for Freeform by Joe Pokaski, based on the Marvel Comics characters with the same name. ABC and Marvel produce it with Pokaski as the showrunner.
On Cloak & Dagger Season 1 Episode 1, “First Light,” Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson figure out that their lives are much more significant than they thought when they meet one another. Upon meeting Tandy and Tyrone’s powers are activated, inciting the beginning of their journey together.
Episode Synopsis: Two teenagers from different backgrounds awaken to discover they have acquired superpowers and have become mysteriously linked.
On Cloak & Dagger Season 1 Episode 2, “Suicide Sprints,” Tandy’s past will come back to haunt her and Tyrone has a thirst for revenge towards the cop that murdered his brother. But, through thick and thin Tandy and Tyrone are there for each other.
Episode Synopsis: Tandy and Tyrone come to grips with their new powers. Tandy’s past catches up with her and Tyrone becomes obsessed with revenge.
