iZombie Renewed for Season 5 at The CW
Rejoice Team-Z! iZombie isn’t dead yet!
Despite its ridiculous premise about a zombie morgue assistant who eats the brains of murder victims to solve their cases, the undead detective romcom will live to see another day as The CW has renewed it for a 5th season, according to TVLine.

This renewal will certainly come as a surprise to doubtful fans considering how many well-received shows have been axed recently by other networks. It doesn’t help that iZombie was originally left out of The CW’s massive renewal announcement in early April, while more uncertain shows like The 100 and Dynasty were renewed without hesitation.
This means The CW has decided the fate of all its scripted dramas, confirming Valor and Life Sentence will be the only cancellations for that lineup.

The series is co-created by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright, who are also the minds behind Veronica Mars. iZombie also stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, Aly Michalka, and David Anders.
Be sure to watch iZombie on Mondays at 9/8c on The CW. Catch up on our reviews of Season 4 here before the final 3 episodes air.
