Brooklyn Nine-Nine Saved! Series Picked Up By NBC
Guess what, NINE-NINE? Jake and Amy are going on their honeymoon!
NBC has officially picked up Brooklyn Nine-Nine after FOX canceled the cop comedy on Thursday, May 10th. The NBC network has ordered 13 episodes for Season 6 and it is reported the entire cast is set to return, according to TVLine.

Executive producer Dan Goor took to social media late Friday night via Twitter to break the news.
@djgoor: “Hey everyone, just wanted to say no big deal but….
NBC JUST PICKED #BROOKLYN99 UP FOR SEASON 6!!! Thanks in no small part to you, the best fans in the history of the world!Nine-nine!!!!!!!!!
This news comes over a day after FOX’s announcement broke that we would be saying goodbye to the 99th Precinct with Jake and Amy’s wedding set to air as the series finale on May 20th.
Thankfully, that is no longer the case after fans took to social media to demand that the series be saved. The outcry involved famous names like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Hamill, and Guillermo del Toro.

In the end, the outrage and outspokenness of B99 fans were loud enough for NBC to take notice.
NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement, “Ever since we sold this show to Fox, I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home.”
He continued on to say, “Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC, and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine will join EP Michael Schur’s hit comedy The Good Place and new comedy series Abby’s on NBC.
Be sure to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Sundays at 8:30/7:30c on FOX. Catch up on our reviews of Season 5 here.
