Preview — The 100 Season 5 Episode 2: Red Queen
The 100 returned on April 24th with an explosive Season 5 premiere, but there’s a pretty big group of characters we still haven’t caught up with yet.
The 100 Season 5 Episode 2 “Red Queen” takes us inside the bunker where Octavia must find a way to lead 1200 people from different clans as they ride out praimfaya underground.
“Red Queen” was written by Terri Hughes Burton, a newcomer to The 100 writers room last year who wrote one of the best episodes of Season 4. Directed by P.J. Pesce, “Red Queen” has been getting a lot of hype, partially because the episode has been so under wraps visually.
“Eden” showed us a glimpse of life in the bunker with Octavia atop her throne as Blodreina above her concrete death ring, but “Red Queen” looks to show us just how she got to that point.
The description tells us she gets help from an unlikely ally. My money is on Jaha, but who do you think helps Blodreina rise?
The episode also appears to reveal what’s been going on between #TeamAdults favorite couple over the time jump. The last time we saw Kane and Abby, she’d asked him to let her die in praimfaya and he saved her against her wishes.
We’re eternally grateful Kane saved her, but that choice is bound to have some fallout in their relationship. Will “Red Queen” give us the resolution we are so eagerly awaiting? Tune in Tuesday at 9/8c to find out!
In the meantime, check out the photos and promo videos below for a preview!
