Preview — The 100 Season 5 Episode 1: Eden

After an 11 month hiatus, The 100 is returning on April 24th at 9/8c on The CW. The 100 Season 4 ended on the far side of a six-year time jump, and we are eager to see what’s happened to all of our favorite characters while they’ve been gone!

The 100 Season 5 Episode 1 “Eden” was written by creator and showrunner Jason Rothenberg and directed by Dean White. From what we’ve learned about The 100 Season 5 premiere so far, it looks like “Eden” will show us Clarke’s journey over the last 6 years, from surviving on her own to building a home with Madi (Lola Flanery).

The episode also appears to give us a proper introduction to Season 5’s new “bad” guys. A transport ship full of prisoners from our time has returned to Earth and it looks like they’re prepared to fight for what’s left of it. The prisoners are led by Diyozia (Ivana Milicevic) an intimidating woman we can’t wait to learn more about.

Though The 100 tends to take our hearts through the ringer, the episode description for “Eden” literally gives us hope. Perhaps we’ll see Bellamy and Raven finally find a way to come back home!
