Preview — Supergirl Season 3 Episode 14: Schott Through the Heart

Previews, Supergirl

It’s been a long, slow hiatus for fans waiting for more information about Wordkillers, complicated relationships, and the family dynamics between our favorite aliens and humans. Supergirl Season 3 Episode 14, “Schott Through the Heart,” will bring it to an end at last.

That “family” aspect is about to become a major player as the show makes its return. As indicated by the title, this episode will center around Winn, who has been lacking in screentime for quite a while.

The episode will feature an appearance by his mother, played by the brilliant Laurie Metcalf. But, given the circumstances of their reunion — and what kept them apart for so long — it doesn’t promise to be an overly joyful one, at least not at first.

We’ll also be seeing more of J’onn’s father, Myr’nn, and by all accounts, this is going to be an emotional roller coaster of an episode. That’s not even considering grueling love triangles or the secrets Mon-El has yet to reveal to Kara.

Check out the photos and promo video below for a preview!

Episode description: OSCAR-NOMINATED ACTRESS LAURIE METCALF GUEST STARS – When Winn’s (Jeremy Jordan) father dies, his estranged mother, Mary (guest star Laurie Metcalf), reappears trying to reconnect and to explain why she abandoned him all those years ago. Winn is too embittered from his rough childhood to forgive her but when a copycat Toyman attacks, the two must work together to stop him. Mon-El (Chris Wood) tells Kara (Melissa Benoist) something important about the Worldkillers, and Alex (Chyler Leigh) becomes suspicious of Myr’nn’s (guest star Carl Lumbly) recent behavior
