Lethal Weapon Review: Leo Getz Hitched (Season 2 Episode 19)

Lethal Weapon, Reviews

On Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 19, “Leo Getz Hitched,” nothing entertaining happens. Usually, you can count on Lethal Weapon to deliver a fun hour of television, but that’s sadly not the case here.

Leo’s back, but he and his bride don’t provide any laughs.

The highlight of this wedding is definitely Trish and Murtaugh’s conversation in their kitchen before heading to the wedding. The required best man attire is also decently funny.

Thankfully, Nina does not leave Leo at the altar. A heartbroken Leo sounds like someone you wouldn’t want to be around. He’s already a bit overdramatic, but that’s one of the reasons why we love him.

You don’t really get a chance to fall in love with Nina and Leo, but they do seem like a good match. They’re both a little out there, and that’s what they love about each other. What did you think of Leo’s wedding?

Why does Riggs’ not realize he’s overstepping boundaries when he places a tail on Molly? Listen to Bailey, Riggs!

Riggs and Molly can’t seem to go more than a day without screwing something up. Molly lies to Riggs about Jake. Riggs fails to understand the concept of privacy and abuse of police power.

Neither of them comes off all that well during the course of the hour, but they kiss and make up by the end of it. Yay?

We’re starting to lose the shippability of these two. There needs to be a storyline that reminds us of why we should be rooting for them.

Don’t get me wrong, Riggs playing with Ben is pretty great, but it’s not enough.

We should also leave Jake in the past, like for good. He fails to bring any excitement nor tension to this hour. He’s simply there, and he’s an annoyance.

The bright side is that Molly is definitely done with him. It’s nice to know that there’s no chance for the two of them getting back together. Did you enjoy seeing Jake again?

The pregnancy test storyline is beyond predictable. As soon as it appears in the trash, your mind goes to “oh please don’t tell me it’s Riana’s.”

What is surprising is that there’s no real conclusion to this storyline. It appeared as if it was going to be a one episode and done storyline. There’s a chance that maybe Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 20 will redeem it.

Is anyone else thinking that maybe someone in the McNeile household threw the test into Murtaugh’s trash can to avoid being found out?

I mean why else is McNeile there when Murtaugh is throwing out the trash. It’s not as if he re-appears later on during the hour or anything. That’s the only scene he’s in, and Murtaugh does tell him to keep his trash on his side of the line.

Anyone else suspecting that the test isn’t Riana’s?

Also, maybe put it in a bag or something next time. Then there’s a very tiny chance that you will get caught.
