13. Dr. K pays Rebecca a visit
For Jack’s funeral, Dr. K makes an appearance and shares some words of wisdom to a bereaved Rebecca.
Dr. K: You’re as tough as they come, Rebecca Pearson.
Rebecca: Not without him.
Dr. K: Bullcrap.
This scene is so great, not just because we get to see a beloved character again, but because it feels completely fitting that of all people to give Rebecca that push to continue on with her life, it would be the man who has helped and guided Jack and Rebecca through the years.
14. Jack and Rebecca celebrate their anniversary
When Rebecca tells Jack not to go over the top in celebrating their wedding anniversary, he obliges. But it’s literally impossible for them to not do anything special…because they’re Jack and Rebecca!
And even the smallest gesture is heartfelt. Thanks to some help from their kids, the two end up star-gazing on their rooftop.
This is one of the sweetest scenes of the seasons, simply because these two share such a wonderful, deep, and strong love.
15. Randall’s wedding speech
The final montage of the series finale tugs at the heartstrings hard.
Just as Randall gives a moving speech at Kate and Toby’s wedding, we flash to more scenes in the future, which may suggest some bad times for our characters.
But despite these cryptic clues, This Is Us Season 2 ends on an uplifting note. This finale capped off a really fantastic and satisfying season, leaving us excited for whats to come in Season 3.
