Fox Renews ‘9-1-1’ for Season 2!
No hesitation here!
Early in its first season, the critically acclaimed new Fox series 9-1-1 has been renewed for Season 2. The news was announced today by Gary Newman and Dana Walden, Chairmen & CEOs, Fox Television Group.

“With a bold concept, award-winning stars and a flawless execution, Ryan, Brad and Tim have done it again,” Walden and Newman said in a statement.
“They have tapped into the cultural zeitgeist and reimagined the procedural as only they could, bringing it to life with a dream team of actors led by Angela, Peter and Connie. This is storytelling at its best and we’re so pleased that it’s resonated with our audience. We’d like to thank everyone involved with this production for their stellar work, and we look forward to another thrilling season of 9-1-1,” Walden and Newman continued.

9-1-1 has done will quickly, with the series premiere having grown to more than 15 million viewers in seven-day multi-platform viewing, including its encore. That’s the network’s largest debut since Empire in 2015, excluding post-Super Bowl premieres.
The series follows first responders as they find themselves thrown into terrifying situations. These police officers, firefighters, and emergency operators must also try to balance the work of saving lives on a daily basis with their own personal lives.

9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, and Connie Britton along with Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Rockmond Dunbar. The hit drama comes from creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear.
