Good Behavior Review: Don’t Thank God, Thank Me (Season 2 Episode 7)
Things have gotten way too out of hand, so on Good Behavior Season 2 Episode 7 “Don’t Thank God, Thank Me,” Letty and Javier go their separate ways to varying results.
Without Javier, Letty has to look at the friendships in her life for support, which is nice change. Letty feels like she’s on an island with Javier often on the show, so exploring the other relationships in her life feels right.
Christian wholeheartedly believes in the person Letty can be, which is what makes their relationship special. Since his days as Letty’s parole officer, Christian has supported Letty when few people did.
Seeing them together is a highlight of the hour because he speaks to what Letty needs in a way no one else does. Letty may not follow good advice very often, but she always hears Christian.

Heading to see Carin is Letty following Christian’s advice about going to the last place she settled to make friends. Watching Letty open up about herself to Carin is proof Letty actually listened to him.
Carin’s welcome return provides a great opportunity for Letty. While Letty initially sees Carin as a means to an end, something about her new neighbor sparks interest, and concern, in Letty.
Good Behavior has benefited from the introduction of Carin all season, and this latest adventure is no different. There’s a fun energy that she provides, which taps into a different part of Letty, a part of her that none of the other characters can bring out.
Where Javier brings romance, Jacobs brings a nurturing nature, and Estelle brings tension, Carin brings the fun. While in the past that has been safe fun, a combination of Carin’s troubles and Letty’s problems make the fun a bit more dangerous this time around.
Laura Bell Bundy does her best work as Carin on Good Behavior to date. All of the problems she hid are now out for everyone to see. Bundy shows us vulnerability and raw emotion, in addition to the zany antics of Carin.

While Christian and Carin’s relationships with Letty are showcased well, Javier and Letty’s relationship hits a sour note.
On the heels of Jacob almost being killed by Teo, the couple goes their separate because of the ramifications of their relationship. The argument is a running theme this season, one that has bothered me from the beginning
Letty starts the season demanding Javier stop killing people, ignoring his theory that someone wants him dead, and fighting to start a new life with her son. These are choices and demands Letty makes without considering anyone else.
Taking charge because she believes she knows better is a powerful move for a character, but Letty has been out of her depth from the start of the series. She fell in love with a hitman and boldly stepped into a new world.

If anything, their presence in one another lives has grounded them both. Jacob is a child and needs to be safe, but Letty is not better off alone.
Javier’s concern about the threat to his life this season is a prime example. I don’t believe that Javier figures out everything once Letty isn’t getting in the way of his search for answer is a coincidence.
The issue in their relationship that Good Behavior needs to deal with is Letty’s issues with Javier being a hitman. It’s a constant in his life, and she often finds herself slamming into it.
Whatever their issues, Letty is better with Javier, and hopefully next week they find their way back together.
