Varun Saranga and Shamier Anderson Talk Bromances and Wynonna Earp Season 2 [Video]
We got a chance to speak with Varun Saranga and Shamier Anderson at San Diego Comic-Con about bromances, joining the family, and breathing fire in Wynonna Earp Season 2.
Saranga, who plays Jeremy, started off small. And with each episode that passed, we fell in love with his ability to never shut up and his crush on Doc and Dolls. (There’s a lot of Jeremy love to go around!)
When asked about joining this family he said, “It’s the worst! No, it’s the best. I love it. I love it so much. Everyone was just so kind to me, and loving, and generous.”
As time passed, his role became bigger and he grew to be part of them.
“You know, like my part started kind of small and kind of grew over the course of the whole season and so I got to spend more and more time with them,” Saranga said.

The addition of Jeremy seemed to change things for the men of the show. All of a sudden there was this new player, and new situations brought on my the calamity in Purgatory, that made bromances easier to grow.
“The bromance is necessary,” Anderson, who plays Agents Dolls, explained. “So you’ll definitely see more bromances this season for sure.”
Bromances aren’t the only thing that we’ll be seeing more of in Season 2 for Anderson’s character. He’s been revealed to be some sort of lizard/dragon who can breathe fire!
And while it might seem cool to hear you’re going to breathe fire from your executive producer Emily Andras, it’s another thing to act it out and realize how much visual effects really do.
“I kind of had to snarl/scream. It was kind of like this [Anderson opens mouth wide and pretends to scream] and then it’s not as cool, right? And then I’d go to post and they’d add all this stuff. And it was cool.”
