My Brother, My Brother and Me Review: Teens & Your Least Favorite Soda (Season 1 Episode 4)
WTF McElroys?!
Not only do the McElroys completely abandon the question on My Brother, My Brother and Me Season 1 Episode 4, but they introduce the most frightening segment to ever appear on television: Clown Box.
That’s not to say that it’s not the funniest thing that’s happened on the series thus far, because it is – I’m just petrified of clowns, as I stated in this review.
The McElroys start with what should be a softball of a question, coming all the way from a neighbor in Canada:

The brothers have the best intentions. They even start with their “teen names” (your least favorite soda and your favorite soda), and convincingly sit backwards in rolling chairs.
They infiltrate a high school with the help of Justin’s sister-in-law, and even perfect the bottle flip to impress teens into telling them what teachers can do to keep them interested.
But the entire project goes awry very quickly when field trips outside become supernatural.
While My Brother, My Brother and Me has so far been a fun advice and sketch show, this stunt takes their series to new (terrifying) territory.
Griffin, with the help of the only teen who wants to be on his ‘team,’ also named Griffin, creates the Clown Box, a box so odd and surprising that it will leave you with nightmares for years.
That’s right kids, I said YEARS.

With Clown Box, the antics of the McElroy brothers go to the next level – it becomes a comedy mashup of It and Blair Witch, something I never thought I would live to see air on television, or rather, stream on the internet.
Actually, you can find anything on the internet, so Clown Box probably shouldn’t surprise me at all.
The Box ultimately makes the McElroy boys disappear, leaving dad Clint alone for dinner and poor Courtney’s question without an answer.
Also a group of very confused teenagers.
Watching the brothers connect to teens is funnier than I expect it to be. They bring the perfect amount of ridiculous fun and mentorship to the teens of Huntington, West Virginia. They totally fit in (NOT), especially Griffin, whose ‘dabbing’ skills are unparalleled.

Griffin steals the show in this outing of My Brother, My Brother and Me. While all three brothers are hilarious, sweet baby brother’s antics stand out among the rest. Maybe it’s the dabbing. Or the Clown Box. Or the way he shuts down Justin with a very clear, “SHUT UP,” when figuring out teen names. Who can really choose one defining moment?
Regardless of the ‘why’ of it all, this is Griffin’s shining episode of the series.
The McElroys prove that they are NOT experts once again in “Teens & Your Least Favorite Soda,” but they do prove that they are pretty good at keeping the laughs coming.
Really, isn’t that what it’s all about?
