Growing Up McGhee Recap: 6 Kids and 17 Years Later (Season 2 Episode 11)

Growing Up McGhee Season 2 Episode 11, “6 Kids and 17 Years Later,” is full of emotions for both viewers, and the McGhee’s as Mia and Ro finally get to have the dream wedding they’ve always wanted.

The episode begins a day before the wedding with Mia, Ro, and the kids going snorkeling. Their trip is almost ending so what better to do than experience new things? The kids take their time learning the basics and then take off with no help from anyone as they get the hang of it.

Ro, on the other hand, didn’t quite catch on all the way as he dives underneath the water, tube and all. It doesn’t take long for him to realize that his only way to get air is now underneath the water with him.

Later that night Cieaira takes the children from Mia and Ro so they can enjoy one last romantic night together before the wedding and before the trip is over. They sit along the beach, enjoying the beautiful sunset, showering each other with praise and love.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Mia and Ro have a relationship that I one day wish to have. It’s full of nothing but love for one another no matter what.

Now, the wedding day. Mia grabs all of the girls and heads out to get their nails done for the big day. Mia is beyond ecstatic to finally have a wedding, but she doesn’t want to leave the island. Who can blame her? I wouldn’t want to leave paradise either.

While Mia is hanging with the girls, Ro is out playing basketball with the boys. He tries to look like a hotshot but fails as he can’t seem to make a basket. But, that doesn’t matter because it’s about spending time with his children, not making them think he’s the best.

It’s time for everyone to get ready! Mia is getting the finishing touches on her hair done, the girls are getting dressed, the boys are getting dressed, and it seems as if everything is going smoothly.

It turns out, Ro forgot the underwear for the boys, but not to worry because the butler swoops in and saves the day. Because of having to wait and then get the kids dressed, Ro ends up getting a bit behind, but he makes it just in time.

The storm cloud that was threatening the beautiful day has now left, and there is nothing but the sunshine waiting for Mia.

Now’s the time, Mia starts her walk down the aisle only to be interrupted by one of the children headed to use the bathroom. The wedding can wait, a kid who needs to use the restroom can’t.

As the boy returns, Mia starts down the aisle once more. Mia takes the center of attention almost immediately as she walks down the aisle looking stunning.

Ro is the first to read his vows aloud, setting the emotional bar before Mia starts hers. This is where Mia begins to tear up, and so do I. Viewers are so lucky to be able to experience these two beautiful people renewing their vows.

Ro slips his ring on Mia’s hand, and Mia slips her ring on Ro’s hand. Then, they kiss and make it official. As Mia and Ro are focused on themselves, the kids are busy burying the minister in the sand.

The episode ends with the entire family taking wedding photos, eating, and having a fantastic time together. This will be a trip that nobody ever forgets.
