Blindspot: The Best Out-of-Context Quotes from “Borrow or Rob” (Season 2 Episode 14)
This episode should be a home run. Blindspot Season 2 Episode 14 “Borrow or Rob” features Rich Dotcom doing what he does best, trolling the team.
Usually when Rich Dotcom shows up, it involves some theatrics. He steals the show and makes us laugh in the process.
But this is a more sedate version of Rich Dotcom, instead of breaking into Kurt’s apartment and drinking his Pennsylvanian beer, Rich finds religion and seems to be in the mood to make amends.
Plus the team is split up once again between Sandstorm and the case-of-the-week. As a result, neither plot really has the satisfying flavor that we tend to get from a Rich Dotcom plot.
While this episode, may not have as many laughs as the previous Rich Dotcom episodes, there are still some shining moments.
Don’t be surprised, three of our four favorite quotes came from Rich Dotcom!
1.“Bless this mess.” – Rich Dotcom
What is funny about this quote is the sincerity with which it is delivered. It makes me want to embroider it on a pillow or put it on a bumper sticker or a t-shirt. Really, it should just be on anything that a store would consider promotional merchandise.
2. “Oh, it’s not exactly Comic Con for me either, dude!” – Patterson
It’s not a secret that we love Patterson, but this has to be one of her wittiest comebacks. This snappy comeback just shuts it down, and does it very well.
I am going to file this away and use it the next time I get dragged into a mess.

3. “Gunfire doesn’t kill people! People kill people!” – Rich Dotcom
Never has a truer statement been made than this one.
When he shouts this at Weller I paused to think of a logical counter argument to this statement about how there needs to be someone behind the gun in order for the gun to function properly.
4. “You shot the hostage, your obsession with the movie Speed has become very unhealthy!” – Rich Dotcom
I will admit that it has been a while since I’ve watched Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock try to stop the bomb on the bus, but in the context of Blindspot, I find this quote very funny.
Considering the urgency with which the team solves their tattoo cases, it’s almost a wonder Weller hasn’t done this before now.
