10 Terrific TV Bromances from 2016

Arrow, Best of 2016, Gilmore Girls, Jane the Virgin, Preacher, Stranger Things, Suits, Teen Wolf, The Flash
7. Nick Miller and Schmidt (New Girl)

Nick: If I had a dollar for everybody I couldn’t hang out with because they hated Schmidt, I’d be rich.

Though each and every friendship between those in the  New Girl gang is one to be envied, the bromance between Nick and Schmidt is something extra special.

Having lived together for over ten years, these college besties know and fully accept all of each other’s quirks (and they both have many…).  Ironically, it’s their differences that make them so compatible- not to mention hilarious.

8. Oliver Queen and John Diggle (Arrow)

You’re my brother, John.  What happens to you happens to me.

Arrow‘s Oliver and Diggle may come from very different backgrounds, but they share an air of determination and compassion that make them a nearly unstoppable combined force.

What started out as a rich young man and his body-guard has grown into an incredible friendship.  And though they’ve certainly had their points of dispute, both men continue to prove their undying loyalty whenever the other needs them.

Together, along with Felicity, they make up the original Team Arrow — and that’s a bond that can never be broken.

9. Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter (Girl Meets World)

Shawn: Cory and I are the best friends in all of existence.

There’s no denying that Shawn and Cory are one of TV’s greatest friendships EVER, and this year they were back and as bromantic as ever on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World.

Having truly watched these two grow up together, it’s heartwarming to see that– while wandering down this road that we call life– they’ve managed to remain the best of friends.

10. Jesse Custer & Cassidy (Preacher)

Cassidy: He won’t kill me.  I’m his best friend.

In Preacher‘s freshman season, Cassidy latches onto Jesse pretty Quickly after the two spend a short time in jail together, sparking an unusual friendship between the 119-year-old vampire and the criminal-turned-preacher.

There are some bumps in their newfound friendship, like Cassidy falling for Jesse’s ex and Jesse’s reaction to what Cassidy is.  But their bond is strong, and it seems like it will continue to grow on their road trip with Tulip in Season 2. (via Katie Houlis)
