Jon Ecker Talks USA’s ‘Queen of the South’ [Interview]

ATX Television Festival, Interviews

This year, ATX Television Festival attendees had the chance to screen USA’s much-anticipated new series, Queen of the South, a few weeks ahead of the series premiere.

We caught up with Queen of the South’s Jon Ecker on the red carpet to chat about the series and what we can expect from his character.

Ecker described Queen of the South as a show that has “something for everybody.”

“It’s got the love story, which happens between me and Teresa. It’s got explosions and drug trafficking, and all that,” he said. “And it’s got friendship. It’s got betrayal. It’s got loyalty.”

Wach the full interview with Jon Ecker:

Ecker was excited to be a part of the series because of the book it was based on, but he said it won’t necessarily be the same.

“There’s a lot of differences. So it’s not like you read the book and you know what’s going to happen. But the basic premise — and the relationship that’s set up and is so well-done by the author is there.”
