Person of Interest Returns in May for Final Season
The wait is finally over!
After almost a year of waiting, CBS has finally announced the air date for Person of Interest Season 5. Starting May 3rd, CBS will air two episodes of the show’s 13-episode season a week on both Mondays and Tuesdays until its finale on June 21st, 2016.
It’s been long rumored that Season 5 would be the show’s last. CBS famously cut down the show’s normal 22 episode order to 13, and then delayed putting it on their fall 2015 and winter 2016 schedule.
Yesterday, CBS finally announced that Person of Interest will be coming to an end after five seasons on the network. Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman made the following statement to IGN:
We’re extremely excited to be able share this final season with the fans. We’re eternally grateful to our amazing cast and crew, as well as our partners at the studio and network. Most of all, we want to thank the show’s fans — the best fans in the world. This subversive little paranoia-inducing cyberpunk-thriller is for you and would not have been possible without your support. As life has come to imitate Person of Interest, it’s been our great privilege to work on show for the past five seasons. We can’t wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter.
Tell-Tale TV will be reviewing each episode of Person of Interest Season 5, so stay tuned for the return of Team Machine!
Person of Interest premieres Tuesday, May 3rd at 10/9C on CBS.
