The 9 Best New TV Shows of 2015
Let’s take a look at nine new shows from 2015 that we hope will keep up hooked for many years to come!
5. Jessica Jones, Netflix

Krysten Ritter isn’t bitching up apartment 23 anymore! She’s taken television by storm in this incredible and addictive Marvel noir crime drama about hero Jessica Jones, detective extraordinaire. This highly anticipated show has lived up to every ounce of its hype, tackling dark topics like rape, abuse, abortion, and PTSD with a unique blend of reality and fantasy. Krysten Ritter isn’t the only standout in this cast. David Tennant scares the buhjeezus out of us in his role as Kilgrave, while also captivating us because we love him so much.
6. Daredevil, Netflix

Forget everything you knew about Daredevil, the terrible Ben Affleck movie. Watch this television adaptation of the classic comic book series and immediately get immersed in Matt Murdock’s story about being a blind lawyer, moonlighting as a superhero. While you’re at it, admire the genius way that writers make you love and hate Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. This superhero show is unlike any other out there right now. It’s nearly perfect in story telling. The fight scenes are amazingly choreographed. The cinematography is film-quality. Just stop reading this paragraph and go start it on Netflix. You won’t be sorry.
7. Master of None, Netflix

Aziz Ansari’s new comedy about making it in New York City is the show that everyone is talking about right now. Ansari plays Dev, a struggling actor and comedian who is discovering what he wants out of life, and who he wants to share that life with. Master of None is full of talented and funny people both on and off camera, so it’s not surprising that its most honest moments are its funniest and most charming. This is a mature romantic comedy that will leave you laughing almost immediately and may have you crying happy tears by its end. We hope a second season is on the horizon!
8. Limitless, CBS

Limitless picks up right where Bradley Cooper’s hit film ended and even includes a few surprise appearances by Cooper’s character, Eddie Morra, himself. The reigns of NZT have been passed on to Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) who takes the little pill and becomes a genius, unlocking his brain’s fullest potential and helping to crack some of the FBI’s biggest cases. McDorman is the biggest reason that this show has already become so successful in its freshman season and why Limitless makes our list of best new shows; he’s the charming and funny action hero that makes women and men alike swoon, but he also has some serious dramatic acting chops that showcase his full range of talent. Limitless has already picked up a full season order and we’ve got a feeling that McDorman will soon be a household name, much like his NZT predecessor.

Can you believe this show actually came into our lives less than a year ago? It seems impossible to imagine our television lineups without it! On the heels of the ever-popular zombie culture, The CW presented us with iZombie, a show about Liv Moore, a young medical student who gets turned into a zombie at a party. Liv isn’t about to let being a zombie stop her from achieving her dreams and finds a way to hold on to her humanity even though every part of her new zombie brain is fighting it. Liv might be the star, but it’s the supporting characters on iZombie that make it a success. Major (Robert Buckley) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) steal the show with their own storylines, and David Anders has us totally hooked as Blaine, the drug-dealer turned zombie who started it all.
