Legends of Tomorrow Gets a Premiere Date!

Legends of Tomorrow, News

We feel like we’ve been waiting forever for this news!

It’s been over a year since The CW started making rumblings about another Arrow & The Flash spinoff, and eight months since Stephen Amell confirmed that the spinoff would be set to air on the 2015-2016 CW slate. Then the crushing news: Legends of Tomorrow would not air until the Spring of 2016.

The super marketing team behind this superhero franchise has done a great job of dropping hints and teasers in the meantime, and the two-night crossover event coming on The Flash & Arrow in December is sure to help launch the new series. Still, fans were getting antsy to hear when exactly they could expect these legendary heroes to hit the small screen.

Wonder no more superfans!

Legends of Tomorrow is set to premiere on Thursday, January 21st, 2016.

That means you’ll get to watch your favorite crime-fighters back-to-back-to-back on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays this spring!

The premiere news was released in a Paley Dialogues panel today, by Peter Rother, President of Warner Bros. Television. However, no confirmation has come from the network yet, which means this information may be subject to change.

No news on which Thursday show will be getting the boot to make room for Legends of Tomorrow. Both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have been under-performing in the ratings in the extremely coveted Thursday night lineup, so it’s a toss up at this point. Regardless of who moves where, it’s very likely that Legends of Tomorrow will take the 8/7c slot.
