Bones: 10 Reasons You Should Love James Aubrey - Part 2

Bones: 10 Reasons You Should Love James Aubrey

Bones, Lists
6. He has a sense of humor.

Even though Bones is a show about investigating murder, one of the things that makes it special is the way it often has a lighter tone. While the content can be heavy at times, it’s a show that understands the need for comic relief.

That’s another reason Aubrey is such a useful addition to the cast. His sense of humor is dry and always perfectly timed.

7. He says it like it is.

Aubrey isn’t afraid to share his opinion. He’s given honest and frank advice to Booth (and others) on more than one occasion.

8. He loves to eat.

This probably the most defining characteristic of James Aubrey. The guy is always hungry and always eating, but food is also something he has a passion for.

It isn’t just that he eats all the time, but he has an appreciation for good food — and at times, exotic food. It makes him even more relatable, lovable, and funny.

9. He’s charming.

There isn’t much that’s more adorable to watch than to see James Aubrey’s burgeoning relationship with Jessica Warren. In winning her over, he’s managed a balance of confidence, honesty, quirkiness, and bashfulness that makes him utterly charming.

10. His character fits well with the rest of the cast.

The chemistry is undeniable, not just between Aubrey and Booth, but also between Aubrey and Brennan, as well as just about all of the other characters on the show. He even works well with Caroline.

The addition of Aubrey to Bones has added depth and humor, as well as new and interesting possibilities for the rest of the cast.

  • Aubrey is such a great addition to Bones. He’s a gem., for all those reasons and more
I’m honestly grateful for his existence. And John Boyd is amazing!

  • I love Aubrey! While I loved Sweets and miss him, I think that Aubrey is more of a partner for Booth and I like how quickly and how much Brennan has confided in him.

  • I feel that he gave the series a lift. And I look forward to seeing more of him

  • OMG, Aubrey was AWFUL!!!! He tries to act like mini-Booth and FAILS! I almost stopped watching the show because he was so irritating.

  • Aubrey is an amazing person . I love that he never attempted to replace Sweets . Sweets’ death left such a huge void . Aubrey’s presence kinda made the pain go away . I love Aubrey’s smile and the fact that he’s such a foodie.

  • He’s got such great comic timing. Even his eating scenes are funny in a dry humor kind of way.
