The Walking Dead Renewed for Seventh Season

I know: shocker, right?

With Halloween just around the corner (the timing, you guys. The timing), AMC officially revealed that everyone’s favorite zombie drama, The Walking Dead, has been renewed for a seventh season.

While I’m sure no one was actually worried that the show wouldn’t make the cut (at least, no one who has been watching this masterpiece unfold), it’s still nice to get solid, official confirmation, especially considering the dark week we’ve had as a fandom, given what they may or may not have done to Glenn this season…

And for those who, like me, enjoy a little after-show chit-chat with their fandom goodness, the popular and oh-so fabulous Talking Dead has also been renewed for another season. For those who are unfamiliar with it, it’s exactly what it sounds like: show host and comedian Chris Hardwick sits down after each episode with celebrity guests and cast members to discuss the episodes, fan theories, story arcs, and everything in between.

It really is a fantastic addition to The Walking Dead experience, so, if you’re not already watching, I highly recommend you give it a try.

So, not that anyone was being kept awake by worries about cancellation in this fandom, but everyone can rest easy knowing that we now officially have a seventh season of zombie deliciousness to look forward to.

I, for one, am wondering how in hell they plan to top season six.

I am both excited and terrified.
