Gilmore Girls Reunion Recap: Most Quoted Lines, Rory’s Best Boyfriend, and More
Keiko Agena imagined that Lane would be trying to decide what kind of mom to be, trying to be cool like Lorelai, but ultimately being a little more like Mrs. Kim.
Liza Weil and Danny Strong agreed that Paris and Doyle would still be together, and Yanic Truesdale admitted that he wasn’t quite sure what was next for Michel, since he still couldn’t figure out how Michel ended up in Stars Hollow in the first place.

Oh, and Danny Strong was also asked what would happen if Cookie from Empire wandered into Stars Hollow. “She would just mess shit up for everybody,” he said.
Liz Torres reminded us all of Ms. Patti as she flirted with Matt Czuchry and Jared Padelecki, and said she imagined her character would have ended up with Luke all along. She also would have spent some time as Mayor before being on her own television show.
We hoped this reunion panel would bring big news of a movie or a new season that would somehow wrap the show as originally intended. Sadly, Amy Sherman-Palladino said that was not the case. It isn’t out of the question, but there’s nothing currently in the works. What she did promise, was that if it ever did happen, it would be done correctly.
Sherman-Palladino was then asked if she’d be willing to share those four words. Apparently, she always knew what the final words of the series would be, but when the finale came, she was no longer in control of the story. Sherman-Palladino still refuses to share what those four words are, even with the cast.
But maybe that’s for the best. Lauren Graham put it best when she said she didn’t want to know unless she was either speaking them herself, or hearing them spoken as they were originally intended.
We can only hold out hope that the stars will align, and we’ll get to hear those last four words at some point. At least for now, we can continue to watch the timeless series over and over again.
Another Gilmore Girls related highlight from the ATX Television Festival was a surprise concert from Hep Alien during the Friday Night Lights tailgate screening. Todd Lowe, John Cabrera, and Keiko Agena channeled their characters to play “Fell in Love with a Girl,” “Where is My Mind” and other songs along with the real Dave Rygalski, who was actually playing for John Cabrera.

They ended the show with their own version of “Where You Lead, I Will Follow,” which couldn’t have made fans happier.
Amy Sherman-Palladino also took time out for a panel on Saturday morning before the reunion to talk about Gilmore Girls and upcoming projects.
I also had the chance to chat with a few members of the cast, including Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, and Liza Weil. Stay tuned for those interviews over the next several days.
