The Bachelor Recap: Fantasy Suite Surprises!

Uncategorized

The fantasy suite dates (the creepiest of all Bachelor dates) aired this week. Chris and the girls headed to Bali for three romantic nights, where we learned that Bali is a beautiful place with lots of monkeys.

Kaitlyn and Chris head to an ancient temple and then off to a romantic dinner, where, surprise! a fantasy suite card is waiting for them. Kaitlyn decides to let her guard down and tell Chris that she’s falling in love with him. Chris says the same back (which is unusual for a bachelor) and then they agree to hit the fantasy suite.

Next up is Whitney. Chris and Whitney hit the open seas and then have their romantic dinner, where Chris confronts Whitney about his concerns that she’s too much of a career woman to move to Arlington. Whitney reassures him that she’s ready to drop all that and have some babies, so they hit the fantasy suite too.

Then, Chris and Becca visit a local medium (who was clearly paid off by producers) who tells them that the way to have a great date was to “make love.”

Poor Becca squirms in her seat, since she’s a virgin and Chris doesn’t know. Finally, at the fantasy suite, Becca tells Chris. The next morning, Chris is torn up about a different conversation they apparently had off camera, where Becca confessed that she’s not yet ready to move to Arlington.

At the rose ceremony (which occurs in a holy temple that somehow doesn’t allow kissing, but does allow American reality TV) Chris pulls Becca aside and we all think she’s going home. But then he changes on us and sends home Kaityn. For a brief, beautiful moment, I thought Kaitlyn was going to punch him. That would have been great.

Next week is the Bachelor Tells All event.

The finale where we find out the winner airs in two weeks. My money is on Whitney.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
