Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13 Summary: Fire Cop
On Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13, “Fire Cop,” Gallo has a close call during a fire when he mistakes the sound of a smart speaker for a victim calling out. He’s okay, but it shakes his confidence.
That fire also winds up looking suspicious, which means Severide works with Wendy Seager and OFI once again. The fire broke out at the home of two sisters, and all signs point to one sister causing the fire, though she insists she didn’t.
She’s put in custody for it, and Severide and Seager eventually find clues that point to her telling the truth. Severide, as is often the case, figures it out. The fire turns out to be an accident involving sheets that were washed with too much bleach.

Stella continues to notice Wendy’s obvious crush on Severide as well as how well the two work together, but as Kylie points out, it’s Stella that Severide looks to when he’s showing off.
Elsewhere in the episode, Stella gets Kylie’s help with Girls on Fire. Stella also proves, yet again, what a great lieutenant she’d be at Firehouse 51 if given the chance. She does this by suggesting that Gallo be allowed to climb a tree a save a cat, in order to get some of his confidence back. It works.
Pelham comments on this leadership, as does Kylie. Kylie confides in Stella that she thinks Stella should be working on moving up in her career, especially since it’s an opportunity she’d worked so hard for.
As for Pelham, he spends much of the episode trying to settle into a new office, but the sound of a critter in the walls (which comes alongside Herrmann suggesting the room is cursed) makes that difficult. After Boden goes so far as to knock several holes in the walls, he and Pelham realize that there’s no critter at all — and they find the source of the noise in the air vent.

Meanwhile, Violet struggles a bit with her feelings for Hawkins. They’ve spent the night together, but she worries about the fact that he’s her superior. Hawkins notes that there’s no real rule against them having a relationship, but that it’s just frowned upon.
But after Brett finds Stella’s engagement ring and notes that it seems like it’s time to start planning a wedding, Violet asks Stella if a relationship with a superior was ever tricky.
Based on her response, “Who gives a damn what people think?” Violet realizes she does want to pursue things with Hawkins.
