What to Expect from Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 Episodes 1 & 2: A Beating Heart…/Camera Shy

The exciting thing about Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 Episodes 1 and 2, “A Beating Heart…/Camera Shy,” is that it picks up immediately where Dexter: New Blood left off, and the introductory scenes of Dexter: Original Sin pick up. It’s a fantastic way to tie in all the branches of the Dexter franchise for the loyal and devoted fans.

This latest series follows Dexter Morgan as he recovers from the gunshot wound inflicted at the end of Dexter: New Blood, attempts to avoid the presence of Detective Angel Batista (who arrives in town around the same time), and follow Harrison from Upstate New York to the Big Apple.

Of course, this doesn’t mean things are left resolved in any kind of way back in Iron Lake, New York. In fact, from the looks of things, that investigation will correlate with whatever Detective Angel Batista is up to. 

Meanwhile, Harrison and Dexter will find themselves on similar paths as they both try to control their own dark passengers. Dexter takes up ride share driving as a front for hunting serial killers, while Harrison battles deep tendrils of guilt over what happened in Iron Lake and continues to happen now that he’s in NYC.
