Yellowjackets will return for Season 4 on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME!
The drama series unravels the truth about what happened when a high school girls’ soccer team survives a plane crash in the wilderness. Yellowjackets chronicles their lives as they try to piece everything together 25 years later.
Its latest season concluded with Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 10, “Full Circle,” last month. It brought the story full circle, revealing that Mari died in the pit and Shauna was the Antler Queen. The season finale, which the network credits as the show’s most-watched episode, also teased the characters’ escape.
Shortly after its season finale, the network also shared that Yellowjackets Season 3 was the show’s most-watched season in the history of Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. This renewal news comes on the heels of that success.
Production dates for the recently renewed fourth season of the series created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson will be announced shortly.
“Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut; with season three shattering all previous records, we are thrilled to announce its renewal for a season four on Paramount+,” Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios, said.
“Ashley and Bart have masterfully crafted an utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon: a perfect alchemy of psychological horror, survival thriller, and coming-of-age drama that continues to captivate audiences worldwide, brought to life by our extraordinarily talented and beloved cast,” McCarthy added.
Yellowjackets Season 3 stars Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell.
Elijah Wood appears in a recurring role. Meanwhile, Hilary Swank guest stars on Yellowjackets Season 3 along with Joel McHale and Ashley Sutton.
Lyle, Nickerson, and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco executive produce the series. Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer along with Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, and Brad Van Arragon.
Lionsgate Television produces Yellowjackets for SHOWTIME®. Paramount Global Content Distribution distributes the series.
