John and Nyla team up to catch Oscar Hutchinson on The Rookie Season 7 Episode 18, “The Good, The Bad, And The Oscar.”
As Nyla reminds the characters in the promo video, the antagonist has been at large since his escape alongside Jason Wyler on The Rookie Season 6 Episode 10, “The Escape Plan.” Oscar has also been off-screen during that time, but The Rookie Season 7’s finale changes that, bringing the character out of the shadows.
Well, technically, Oscar is still using them to his advantage. After all, the promo video for “The Good, The Bad, And The Oscar” shows Oscar watching John, though it appears that John thinks he’s the one with the advantage.
Otherwise, The Rookie‘s promo video focuses on what’s next for Lucy and Tim.
The Rookie Season 7 Episode 17, “Mutiny and The Bounty,” sees Lucy finally pass the sergeant’s exam. It’s a massive step forward in her career. The promotion also removes a massive obstacle — the power dynamic in their former professional rank — from her and Tim’s path if they choose to rekindle their relationship.
“The Good, The Bad, And The Oscar” will see Celina asking Lucy, “Should I expect to see Tim around more often?” Meanwhile, it seems like Tim is more hesitant to take things to the next level — again.
He tells Angela, “I’m trying to be respectful of the fact that I’m the one who broke her heart.” To which Angela responds, “Well, you might break it again if you leave her hanging too long,” which may be the advice Tim needs to decide to do.
Elsewhere on The Rookie‘s season finale, Angela will investigate a bank robbery, and Miles will go on a first date that takes an unexpected turn.
