Lessons in Chemistry, Previews

Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 5, “CH₃COOH,” puts a spotlight on Elizabeth Zott as she hosts Supper at Six.

The chemist’s new job comes with pushback from her boss, played by Rainn Wilson, who Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 4, “Primitive Instinct,” briefly introduces. Considering the requirements he mentions during that episode, it’s a safe bet to say he and Elizabeth will have plenty to butt heads over.

Nevertheless, Elizabeth will work to make the cooking show her own.

Lessons in Chemistry Season 1 Episode 1, “Little Miss Hastings,” is evidence enough that Elizabeth is successful and welcomes viewers who connect with the material she serves up. This episode may be the origin story of that product.

Meanwhile, as the photos tease, “CH₃COOH” will see more of Brie Larson as Elizabeth and Alice Halsey as Madeline, who only work together for a few minutes at the end of “Primitive Instinct.”

Halsey will see Mad through her own storyline as the young girl continues her work on the family tree assignment. It even leads her to make a new friend. Based on the photos, could that new friend be Rev. Wakely?
